oh no I gotz called out by captain mediocrity
I didn't really like either that much, even though I usually like Rwappin's stuff, I didn't think it was even close to his best. I think it's just been a shitty month for flash altogether. (Parody of a parody of a parody, wow, foreal?)
Also, Newgrounds is never going to care that much about hard work, so might as well spend time animating instead of complaining about it. Hell, even rtil stopped.

Even by the harshest critics, Metal Gill Awesome has been given too much credit when people call it a parody of a parody. It's not even that. I can't stress to anyone just how garbage that flash is. There was no thought put into it whatsoever. The guy didn't even change the way the animations worked to suit fish, so you saw a human body with a fish head throw a body.
You know we're all used to moaning about the latest video game parody or whatever, but at least those have some orginal thought, some creativity, even if little compared to others, behind them, even with the easier mass appeal. But this was mindless trash.
I mean why do we have the 2000 vote thing. It's obvious it completely fails else we'd use it to vote the yearly movie and game.

Now, this....
Well I have a difference of opinion when it comes to Metal Gill Jawesome and it's not like the mass "it was shit" spectacle I'm seeing here.
I didn't vote on it based on the quality of the animation. Even the original wasn't that great when it came to it. The reason why Metal Gill Jawesome did as well as it did was because it was it was a really good parody of Egoraptor's parody series.
We've seen homages from fans of various series here, Madness comes to mind here, where their version just sucked so bad that you wonder why it was released. Jawesome, being a parody of a parody, did not suck. It was a nautical homage to Egoraptor's work. The lines were well thought out and even Egoraptor came in to do the voices. No it's not some audio track. Try reading the author description (for those who skip right to the video and make a comment then leave).
I thought it was cleverly done. I didn't fanboy gush all over it. But I gave it it's credit because it earned it's way into that collection.
As I said. Some fan submissions fucking suck. I felt that this one didn't and played up the series perfectly.
Just a thought.

I think only users with an average scoring submission should be able to vote on monthlies, if that happened, only users who know how to recognize a well animated movie would be able to vote, thus, leaving the eleven year old kids who vote five on illwillpress's 12,816,231,236 submissions every day out of the circle. That's just my opinion though, and I doubt that leaving the Newgrounds stereotype out would be very lucrative for Dr. Fulp...

I gotta say... the animation was very... wait... EXTREMELY mediocre... It was not very amusing to watch, and it was only comedic because it was a parody of Metal Gear Awesome. Its like watching Pokemon, except all the Pokemon are actually Digimon... ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS! HAHAHAHhahahaha...............
