Bravo! I agreed in everything you said about sprites... I just hope you don't have the bad luck of starting wars like I did in my last frontpage post :(
However I wish you luck in your hand drawn movies, and I have something to tell you. When I finish my next flash I will take a vacation of making movies and I will take actionscript tutorials, I want to learn how to make flash games. Since sprite movies aren't well accepted, I think sprite games wouldn't be so rejected. But I"m not making a shitty rip off of super mario bros flash or something similar.
And I will try to make my own sprites or edit them (for example, changing the duck from duck hunt into a pigeon XD).
For now, kudos on you on expressing your thoughts :D

a la madre, pinche ojo de aguila que tienes, yo no habia notado que se miraba el white canvas en al escena 2. Ps como esta a 30 fps es muy dificil notarlo.

i do enjoy making sprites, not really to show off my movies, but mainly just to have fun and vent out my creativity, i love taking advantage of mario from a sprite and making him do whatever i want muahaahah!
but yeh on a serious note dude, whatever ur decision is i fully support you and i 100% got ur back, your drawings are good and detailed and thats already half the battle done to success

My first pieces of work were animated GIFs for Windows Live Messenger. Without them, I may not have been able to steal other people's sprites and get them in a good collab!
By the way, since the preloader I made allows people to create their own sprites, is it better or worse than using sprites by huge companies?
Oh, and for other people reading (I'm pretty sure emanhattan knows)...
The above comments by me may make it seem like I dislike sprite animations. Honestly, I don't. In fact, I occasionally love them.

well thanks doom for your comments. glad you understand my points. well I meant using GIFS in animations. I mean.... when somebody wants to harass me for being a sprite animator they often use the "you use gifs" phrase. I dont like to be cathegorized like that.
besides, a gif doesnt give you a nice smoothness I believe.
oh and the preloader is sweet. Of course creating your own sprites n movie is nice : 3 I think my favorite sprite is my party boy one.
